Looking forward to the Citizen's Advisory Board being involved in this significant project. Mr. Daly inquired, Deputy Police Chief Presley advised an invitation will be provided to CABoard regarding Winter Park's Public Safety Complex (52,000 sq ft) dedication. —Mr. Ray inquired, Deputy Police Chief stated cost projections have been included for a Sanford dispatch center at the new public safety building. The feeling is confident Sanford could maintain a communication center and be essentially even economically for the personnel cost that is being paid to Seminole County. Stated Police Chief Tooley is looking at the concept of regional dispatch among the cities in Seminole County. Sanford police would retain its employees, but there would be a joint infra - structure (shared cost and savings). In theory, there would be a room with dispatch locations for each county law enforcement agency. Police Chief Tooley will share more information as the concept progresses. —Spoke of the benefits to the Paperless Automated Computer Entry (PACE); a program the police department is mindful of in the future, and hopefully for all agencies in Seminole county to participate in. With PACE, an officer can call in and dictate the report to an operator. PACE will expand the officers availability to road patrol, and shorten their report writing and paperwork down time. —75% of officers have been deployed with the new non - lethal Taser weapon which required six hours training. The Taser will also reduce Workers Comp injuries due to officers having Tess physical activity with suspects. Deputy Police Chief Presley gave reasons as to when an officer would make use of the Taser. There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 7:20 pm.
