PRESENT: Mark McCarty, David Daly, Katheryn Alexander, Steve Chusmir, Joe Torresin, Betty Jack,
Brian Tooley- Police Chief and Gracy Posley
Absent: Excused — Helen Mausser
Audience: SP.D. Staff, Commissioner V. Williams and Community Residents
Called to Order by Mr. McCarty. He explained that this meeting was the quarterly on- the -road district
meeting. Mr. McCarty and CABoard members introduced themselves to the audience.
Commissioner Williams spoke re District 2, its boundaries and the Goldsboro community history.

Mr. Daly, seconded by Mrs. Alexander; Minutes were approved as written.
Old Business
Mr. Chusmir inquired re procedure to text message; notify citizens regarding an emergency situation in the
community. Follow -up being done by Chief Tooley and staff.
Chief Tooley Address CAB
• Welcomed everyone and introduced Staff.
• Capt. Del Rosso shared information re the Patrol Division and Patrol 5. Street Crimes is a proactive unit and
their focus is high crime areas, drugs and prostitutes.
• Sgt. Raimondo distributed and explained SPD's Internal Affairs report/stats. Stated Sgt. P. Smith is now the
contact for Internal Affairs.
■ Lt. Horan and Sgt. Littles shared information re the Investigations Section.
• Ofr. Bernosky shared information re Community Policing, neighborhood watch and the volunteers program.
• Police and Fire Headquarters construction is progressing well. Move in date is November 2010.
• Proactive law enforcement is showing results
Remarks
• Commissioner Williams would like to improve citizen complaints. And for citizens to feel comfortable with
coming to the police department to report complaints.
■ Commissioner Williams would like to see meetings established to educate the public regarding varied police
department procedures.
Questions and answers were opened to the audience. Citizens from the audience expressed their concerns re
adverse encounters with SP.D. officers.
The next quarterly on- the -road meeting will be held July 14, 2010 in District 3 with Commissioner Jones.
There being no other business, the meeting was adjourned at 8:00 P.M.
