City Commission Chambers
PRESENT: Mark McCarty, Helen Mausser, Katheryn Alexander, David Daly, Agnes Knighton, Betty Jack,
Steve Chusmir, Brian Tooley- Police Chief and Gracy Posley
Absent: Excused — Mark Russi and Katheryn Alexander
Audience: Anna McCollough and Joe Torresin
Called to Order by Mr. McCarty. Mr. McCarty requested the Minutes of November 11, 2009 be adopted if
there were no changes. Motioned by Mrs. Mausser, seconded by Mr. Daly; Minutes were approved as written.
Chief Tooley Address CAB
• Regards to Mrs. Alexander on the loss of her brother
■ SPD Courtesy Notice (business, home, vehicle) — is in effect
■ SPD Command Staff met November 5 re Police Community Relations (enhancement initiatives, timelines)
■ CABoard for January 13, 2010, District 1 meeting is reserved at the Bettye Smith Cultural Arts Center, Oak
Ave. /5 St.
■ Scheduling two 7 -hour presentations for all SPD employees customized to Police Community Relations
• Police and Fire Headquarters construction is progressing well, with a completion date of September 2010
■ SPD Annual Employee Party was held December 4 at 11:30 A.M. and 5 P.M.
• Christmas Parade was great. SPD had an impressive all female Color Guard
■ Informed members re SPD media story regarding attempted lockers break -in. Speculating money was in a
locker from a search warrant. Cameras will be mounted in the mailroom/lockers area.
There being no other business, the meeting was adjourned at 7:05 P.M.
