City Commission Chambers PRESENT: Mark McCarty, Helen Mausser, Nancy Roberts, David Daly, Sonya Banner, Mark Russi, Brian Tooley — Police Chief and Gracy Posley Absent: Excused — Betty Jack, Agnes Knighton and Dr. Brenedette Hardy -Blake Audience: Lester and Anna McCollough Called to Order by Chairperson Mr. McCarty. Mr. McCarty requested the Minutes of November 14, 2007 be adopted if there were no changes. Motioned by Mr. Daly, seconded by Mrs. Roberts; Minutes were approved as written. Old Business A. Sanford Ave. between 9 th / 8 th St. — car driven under the house. Via Code Enforcement, the owner had until December 12 to have the vehicle removed before incurring fines. The vehicle has not been removed. Fines to the property owner for non - removal, no repairs will become $225. daily after December 21, 2007. B . Bronze Statue suggestion at new public safety complex. Finalize and forward letter to Mayor Kuhn re spearheading effort, cost, ways and means. Deputy Chief Presley Address CAB ■ SPD's Bravo Squad, day shift sponsored a military family with food and gifts (dad, mom and 17 month old) for the holidays. Family received their items December l I . Dad is back from Iraq; scheduled to return to Iraq in the Fall of 2008. The Squad inquired/discovered this family via the National Guard Armory (as a family that could use some assistance at this time). ■ Owners Rep (police and fire complex) — Public Safety Building Committee had made a decision to not have an Owners Rep. This decision has been reversed and a contracted construction manager will be hired. ■ SPD's Volunteer Program Coordinator is graduating from SCC's police academy December 12 and will be sworn -in by Chief Tooley at the graduation. ■ Capt. D. DelRosso and Sgt. A. McCoy were promoted December 12 in accordance with the January 14, 2008 reorganization. With the January 14 reorganization, each lieutenant will have very specific duties and accountability. Park Ave.) for excessive noise calls within 30 days. The fee to be assessed is $250.00. There being no other business, the meeting was adjourned at 7:35 P.M.
