Wednesday, September 12, 2007 6:30 P.M.
City Commission Chambers
PRESENT: Mark McCarty, Agnes Knighton, Helen Mausser, Sonya Banner, Nancy Roberts, Dr. Brenedette
Hardy - Blake, Mark Russi, Dave Daly, Brian Tooley — Police Chief and Gracy Posley
Absent: Excused — Tom Carpenter and Betty Jack
Audience: Lester and Anna McCollough
Called to Order by Chairperson Mr. McCarty.
Mr. McCarty requested the Minutes of August 8, 2007 be adopted if there were no changes. Motioned by
Mr. Daly, seconded by Mrs. Knighton; Minutes were approved as written.
Chief Tooley Address CAB
• The City's first reading of the Budget was September 10 Police and Fire are able to retain employees
■ Invited CAB members to the Police Department's Annual Awards Program — October 2 6:30 p.m. at the
Sanford Civic Center
• Members present were transported from Sanford City Hall to the imminent Police and Fire Headquarters
property at 13 Street and Lake Avenue. Chief Tooley provided a tour of the site.
Mr. McCarty inquired of the anticipated effects after the first month upon moving in the new building? Chief
Tooley responded, "happy" in comparison to moving into a new home.
Dr. Hardy -Blake and Chief Tooley commented regarding some of the healthful and helpful features of the new
building, such as the gymnasium, cafeteria, community room and motorcycle covering.
There being no other business, the meeting was adjourned at 7:30 P.M.
