Garnett White Larry Blair Others Present: G. W. Braceland, Building Official The Board of Adjustment met to consider the following requests. The first letter submitted for consideration: Board of Adjustment City Hall Sanford, Florida Gentlemen: I am submitting the following information for your consideration • in requesting variance in the Zoning Ordinance as it pertains to front, rear, and side yard setback requirements in SR -1 zoned district. Legal description E2 of Lot 1 + N. 13.17 ft of the E2 of Lot 2, Blk 8, Tier B, Town of Sanford. Property location SW corner of East 6th St. and Pine Ave. The planned use of the property is Single - Family dwelling. Any consideration given this request will be appreciated. Signed: Estelle B. Johnson - Owner It was determined that a front yard variance of 5', variance of 2' on one side and 22' on the other side would be needed to build the single family dwelling. Mr. Karns moved to approve. Mr. Philips seconded. Motion carried. The next letter submitted for consideration: Board of Adjustment City Hall Sanford, Florida • Gentlemen; I am submitting the following information for your consideration in requesting variance in the Zoning Ordinance as it pertains to side yard setback requirements in SR -1A zoned district. P PP.' MINUTES - Board of Adjustment - Jan. 12, 1979 - 11:30 A.M. Page 2 Legal description Lot 6, Blk 1, San Lanta 2nd Section, Replat • PB 9, Pg. 42. Property location 465 Rosalia Drive. The planned use of the property is a private home addition of a double carport. Any consideration given this request will be appreciated. Signed: Manuel Celis, Owner Mr. Celis was present to represent the request and offered a letter from Mr. R.E. Carroll of 461 Rosalia Drive, stating he had no objection to the request for the double carport. After discussion, Mr. Philips moved to grant the needed variance. Mr. Karns seconded. Motion carried. The next letter for consideration: Board of Adjustment City Hall Sanford, Florida Gentlemen: • I am submitting the following information for your consideration in requesting variance in the Zoning Ordinance as it pertains to side yard setback requirements in RC -1 Zoned District. Legal description West 100' of Blk 14, Chapman & Tucker Addition to Sanford, PB 1, Pg 24. Property location SE corner of Cypress Ave. and E. First St. The planned use of the property is a commercial building. Any consideration given this request will be appreciated. Signed: Harry Robson - Owner Because of the rezoning of the property to RC -1 for the purpose of construction of an Apothecary Shop, a 5' variance is needed to meet the 15' side setback required, and a 10' variance needed . to meet the corner setback requirement. These requirements would not allow the approved building to be constructed with adequate parking. Mr. Cantrell and Mr. Hutchinson were present to represent the request.
