Philips Members Absent: Bob Karns Others Present: Bill Braceland, Building Official The Board of Adjustment met to consider the following requests. The following letter was submitted for consideration: Gentlemen: I am submitting the following information for your consideration in requesting variance in the Zoning Ordinance as it pertains to side yard setback requirements in GC -2 zoned district. Legal description, Lot 13, Blk 8, Dreamwold. Property location, 2535 S. French Ave. The planned use of the property is automotive parts sales. Any consideration given this request will be appreciated. Signed: Robert Gentry, Owner. The following memo was directed to the Building Official relating to the building proposed for the variance request: TAL: Building Official From: Fire Department Subj:Zoning variance for 2535 S. French Ave. The Fire Department recommends a minimum of 5' setback from the north property line or if the building is built on the property line we will require a 3 hour fire wall on the north side of the building. (NFPA Nat'l Fire Code Vol. 14, Chapter 80A) Signed: M.C. Hoening- Fireman G. M. Harriett -Fire Chief A note of approval was introduced from Mrs. R.B. Riser, an adjacent property owner. Box 1778 Sanford, FL 32771 44 MINUTES - Board of Adjustment - Sept. 9, 1977 - 11:30 A.M. 1 Page 2 Dear Mr. Perkins: 411 This is to advise that our company is against any changes in the zoning ordinance specifically described as located at 2535 S. French Avenue. Respectfully, Dixie Oil Company, Inc. Signed: Bobby Lindsey, President Mr. Robert Gentry and Mr. Richard Dove were present to represent the request. Mr. Dove's building is next door and he was in agreement with all the proposed plans. Mr. Philips move d to grant the request for a 10' ft. variance for a 0' setback, pro- vided there be no opening between the buildings in question, and a 3 -hr. fire wall be provided. Mr. White seconded the motion. Motion carried. The next request was submitted by letter as follows: Board of Adjustment City Hall Sanford, FL Gentlemen: • I am submitting the following information for your consideration in requesting variance in the Zoning Ordinance as it pertains to side yard setback requirements in SR -1 Zoned District. Legal description the S2 of Lot 478 and all of Lot 480, Frank L. Woodruff's Subdivision. Property location at 2620 S. Elm Ave. The planned use of the property is a carport addition to a S/F residence. Any consideration given this request will be appreciated. Signed: Hugh W. Pain, Owner After discussion Mr. Blair moved to grant the 22' setback variance, Mr. Philips seconded. Motion carried.
