Philips Bob Karns Garnett White Members Absent: Larry Blair Others Present: John Steffens, Zoning Inspector The Board of Adjustment met to consider the following requests. The following letter was submitted for consideration: Board of Adjustment City Hall Sanford, Florida Gentlemen: • We are submitting the following information for your consideration in requesting variance in the Zoning Ordinance as it pertains to side yard setback requirements in SR -1 Zoned District. Legal description Lot 11, Blk 6, Dreamwold 3rd Sec., P.B. 4, Page 70. Property location SE Section of Lot #ll, 2400 Chase Ave. The planned use of the proputy is to serve as a Fellowship and Meeting Room area, 16 ft. wide and 60 ft. long. Any consideration given this request will be appreciated. Signed: Mount Haven Primitive Baptist Church - Joseph P. Hester It was determined that a 6 ft. side yard variance is needed, on a corner lot. Mr. White moved to grant the variance, Mr. Karns seconded. Motion carried. The next letter submitted for consideration: Board Of Adjustment City Hall • Sanford, Florida Gentlemen: I am submitting the following information for your P PP— Board of Adjustment - Friday, August 13, 1976 1 Page 2 consideration in requesting variance in the Zoning Ordinance as • it pertains to rear yard setback requirements in SR -1 Zoned District. Legal description Lot 4 & N. 10' of Lot 5, Blk 7, San Lanta. Property location, 1507 Sanford Ave. The planned use of the property is for a homeowner's workshop. Any consideration given this request will be appreciated. Signed: Ralch E. Betts, Owner Mr. Betts presented a drawing showing the proposed workshop and it was determined that a 2 ft. variance is needed in the rear, and a 1.4 ft. variance needed for the side. Mr. White moved to grant the variance, Mr. Philips seconded. Motion carried. The Board was asked to review the case of an owner, Geraldine Walker, on the construction of a home at 1303 S. Persimmon Ave. The original permit was issued on May 5, 1970 and was halted after a footer inspection because of financial troubles. Now that they wish to proceed with the building, the zoning rules have been changed and homes are not allowed since the change. • The Board members discussed the problem and Mr. Karns moved to grant the continuation and allow the construction. Philips The Board of Adjustment met to review the following letter of request. Gentlemen: I am submitting the following information for your consideration in requesting variance in the Zoning Ordinance as it pertains to rear and side yard setback requirements in GC -2 Zoned District. Legal des- cription Lots 9 & 10, Blk 14, Tr 7, of Sanford, Fla., Trafford's Record Book 1, Pg 56 -64. Property location 414 W. 13th St. • Planned use of the property is electrical equipment repair service. Any consideration given this request will be appreciated. Signed: J. E. McAlexander, Jr. Owner Mr. McAlexander was present to explain his need for a rear yard variance of 13 ft. and side yanivariance of 9 ft., in order to accommodate his new building.
