Special Meeting
Dec. 20, 1974
The Board of Adjustment met in special session in the.City
Hall at 11 :30 A. M. on December 20, 1974.
Members Present:
Garnett White
Robert Karns
W. M. Philips
Larry Blair
B. L. Perkins
Others Present:
Bill Braceland, Building Official
John Steffens, Zoning Director
The meeting was called to order by Mr. Karns, in the absence of
the Chairman at the opening of the meeting.
Mr. Howard Price submitted the following letter for consideration.

Gentlemen:
I am submitting the following information for your
consideration in requesting variance in the Zoning Ordinance,
as it pertains to front yard setback requirements in GC -2 Zoned
District in Lots 1 and 2, Block 2, Tier 9, E. R. Trafford's Map.
Being more specifically described as located at
110 N. French Ave.

The Building Official explained the need for the variance is
for a mansard -type canopy over the gas pumps. A 9 -ft. variance
is needed for the support, and a 6 -ft. variance for the overhang.
• After discussion concerning the type of canopy and the surround-
ing property, Mr. Karns moved to grant the variance, Mr. White
seconded, motion carried. No one appeared in opposition.
