Special Meeting
Nov. 22, 1974
The Board of Adjustment met in special session in the City Hall
at 11 :30 A. M. on November 22, 1974.
Members Present:
B. L. Perkins
Larry Blair
Garnett White
Robert Karns
Members Absent:
W. M. Philips
Others Present:
Bill Braceland, Building Official
John Steffens, Zoning Director
The meeting was called to order by the Chairman,
Mr. B. L. Perkins.
Mr. J. W. McFayden submitted the following letter for
consideration.

Gentlemen:
I am submitting the following information for your
consideration in requesting variance in the Zoning Ordinance
as it pertains to front yard setback requirements in MR -1
zoned district.Legal description: east half Lot 8, Block 12,
Tier 10, E. R. Traffords Map.
The planned use of the property is single - family dwel-
ling. Any consideration given this request will be ap-
preciated.

The Building Official explained to the Board members that
411 the applicant wants to extend a porch on the front of his
home, 20 ft. from the property line at 10112 Holly Ave.

410 The house faces Holly Ave. with alley in back, and another
house south of him.
It was agreed that the variance could be granted pro-
vided the owner of the property in question obtain a letter
from the property owner in front of him saying that he has
no objections, and the understanding is that a similar var-
iance would not be granted to the rear on Holly Ave.
Mr. Karns moved to grant the variance, Mr. White seconded.
Motion carried. No one appeared in opposition.
There being no further business, the meeting was ad-
journed.
