Special Meeting
October 25, 1974
The Board of Adjustment met in special session at the City Hall
at 11:30 A.M. on October 25, 1974.
Members Present:
B. L. Perkins, Chairman
Robert Karns
Larry Blair
Garnett White
Members Absent:
W. M. Philips
Others Present:
Bill Braceland, Building Official
Al Payne , Zoning Director
The meeting was called to order by the Chairman.
Mr. Speed Morland submitted the following letter for
consideration.

Sanford, Florida
Gentlemen:
I am submitting the following information for your
consideration in requesting variance in the Sign Ordinance
as it pertains to setback requirements in GC -2 Zoned
District. Legal deacription: see attached metes and
Bounds. Property location is 3090 Orlando Drive. The
planned use if the property is to erect a ground sign
for the bank. Any consideration given this request
will be appreciated.

Mr. Morland was present and submitted photographs for the
sign and property, and explained the need for the variance.
The motion was made that it would be granted for a 5' side
4IM yard setback by Mr. Karns and seconded by Mr. White, motion
carried. No one appeared in opposition.

Mr. Joseph M. Waller submitted the following letter.

Sanford, Florida
Gentlemen:
I am submitting the following information for your
consideration in requesting variance in the Sign Ordinance
as it pertains to front and side yard setback.requirements
in GC -2 Zoned District. Legal description: Lots 4 and 5,
Blk 6, Tr 9, E. R. Traffords. Property location is 420
S.French Avenue. The planned use of the property is to
erect signs per attached plans. (erect ground sign on south
property line.) Any Consideration given this request will
be appreciated.

was made to grant a 5' variance to his south property line
by Mr. White and seconded by Mr.Blair, motion carried. No
