Special Meeting
May 17, 1974

The Board of Adjustment met in special session at the City Hall at
11:30 A. M. on May 17, 1974.
Members Present:
B. L. Perkins, Chairman
Robert E. Karns
W. M. Philips
W. Garnett White
Members Absent:
Ned Julian
Others Present:
Bill Braceland
Al Payne
The meeting was called to order by the Chairman.
• The following letter was submitted to the Board for consideration:

Sanford, Florida
Gentlemen:
I am submitting the following information for your consideration
in requesting variance in the Zoning Ordinance as it pertains to
Side Yard Setback requirements in MR -2, Multiple- Family Residential
Dwelling Zoned District. The legal description being Lot 7 less
E 43 ft. of N 30 ft., Block 5, Tier 10, Town of Sanford. Property
location being 303 Holly Avenue.
The planned use of the property is a carport.
Any consideration given this request will be appreciated.

• Mr. Jones explained that he was requesting a variance of 32 feet in
the side yard setback requirements in order to build a carport the

same distance from the property line as the existing garage.
After it was determined that there was a chain link fence on
the property line and the structure on the abutting property was
set back 30 feet, Mr. White moved to grant a variance of 32 feet
in the side yard setback requirements at the south side of Lot 7
less E 43 ft of N 30 ft., Block 5, Tier 10, Town of Sanford.
The motion was seconded by Mr. Karns and was carried by a unani-
mous vote.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
