HomeMy WebLinkAbout10191973 sp min P BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT • Special Meeting October 19, 1973 The Board of Adjustment met at 3:30 P.M. in a reconvened session of the adjourned meeting of October 17, 1973. The meeting had been adjourned due to lack of a quorum. Members Present: B. L. Perkins, Chairman Ned Julian Robert Karns W. Garnett White Members Absent: W. M. Philips Others Present: Bill Braceland, Building Official Al Payne, Building Inspector Chairman Perkins called the meeting to order. The following letter was submitted to the Board for consideration. 410 Board of Adjustment City Hall Sanford, Florida Gentlemen: I am submitting the following information for your consideration in requesting variance in the Zoning Ordinance as it pertians to side yard setback requirements in SR -1, Single Family Residential Dwelling Zoned District. Legal description being Lot 20, Block 14, Dreamwold 3rd Section, Plat Book 4, Page 70, Public Records of Seminole County, Florida. Property location 24th Street and Maple Avenue. The planned use of the property is residential. We need a vari- ance on the south side of 5 feet and of 8 inches on the north side. Any consideration given this request will be appreciated. P. Zeuli & Sons • Philip Zeuli, Pres. 4 Board of Adjustment October 19, 1973 Page 2 • Mr. Philip Zeuli appeared before the Board to explain his request, stating that he had a buyer for this lot conditioned upon a partic- ular model house being built upon it and that the house be placed on the lot so as to allow for a large back yard. He was requesting a variance of 5 feet in the south side yard setback and a variance of 8 inches in the north side yard setback. In discussion, Mr. Karns pointed out to Mr. Zeuli that this was a self- imposed hardship. After consideration, Mr. White made a motion that the variance be denied. The motion to deny was seconded by Mr. Julian and carried by a unanimous vote of the members. The date of October 26, 1973, was next set for a special meeting to consider a request for a variance in the zoning ordinance as it pertains to side yard setback requirements, as requested by the Southern Bell Telephone Company.
