HomeMy WebLinkAbout09051973 sp min r � BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT • Special Meeting September 5, 1973 The Board of Adjustment met in special session at the City Hall at 3:30 P. M. on September 5, 1973. Members Present: B. L. Perkins, Chairman Robert E. Karns W. Garnett White W. M. Philips Members Absent: Ned Julian Others Present: Bill Braceland, Building Official Al Payne, Building Inspector The meeting was called to order by the Chairman. The following letter was submitted to the Board for consideration: • Board of Adjustment City Hall Sanford, Florida Gentlemen: I am submitting the following information for your considera- tion in requesting variance in the Zoning Ordinance as it pertains to side yard setback requirements in SR -1A Zoned District. Legal description Lot 59 and south ten feet of Lot 58, Franklin Terrace, PB 3, pg 78 of the Public Records of Seminole County, Florida. Property location 2419 South Myrtle Avenue. The planned use of the property is patio roof, 10 x 23 ft. Any consideration given this request will be appreciated. Sandra M. Lunsford • Owner Board of Adjustment September 5, 1973 Page 2 • Mr. Emery Britton of United Fence Awning and Carpet of Sanford, Inc., appeared in behalf of Mrs. Sandra M. Lunsford. He explained that a variance of 6'8" was requested in the side yard setback for the purpose of erecting an aluminum awning over an existing patio. In a general discussion it was establised that the structure on the adjacent property, a garage for the residence, was setback 10'4" and that there was a screen of shrubbery and a fence on the common property line. Mr. Karns moved that the variance of 6'8" be granted contingent upon the stipulation that this area was never to be enclosed. The motion was seconded by Mr. White and carried by a unanimous vote of the Board. There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned. 111 "Chairman Jf J eo Secretary •
