BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT
/ Special Meeting
September 14, 1971
The Board of Adjustment met in a reconvened session of the
adjourned meeting of September 13, 1971. The meeting had
been adjourned due to lack of a quorum.
Members Present:

Mr. Ned Julian

Chairman Perkins called the meeting to order and reading of
the minutes of the last meeting were waived to avoid delay
in the meeting.
The following letter was submitted by Imperial Florida Oil
Company, Allan Vickers, General Manager for consideration
by the Board:

Gentlemen:
I am submitting the following information for your consideration
in requesting variance in the Zoning Ordinance as it pertains
to front yard setback requirements in C -1 Neighborhood
Commercial Zoned District.
Legal description being Lots 4 & 5 of Block 14, Tier 4, Plat
411 Book 1, Pages 56 to 64 of the Public Records of Seminole County.
Property located at 1208 South Park Avenue, Sanford, Florida.

The planned use of the property is a service station and
canopy to give customer protection from weather and beautify
existing station.
Any consideration given this request will be appreciated.

Representatives from the Imperial Florida Oil Company were
called upon to- explain the requested variance. An 18' -6"
variance is requested for the purpose of erecting an open,
steel, mansard type canopy to give customer protection
from weather and beautify existing station. They also stated
there would be a clearance of 13' -6 ".
• After discussion by the Board members, Mr. Karns moved that
the 18' -6" front yard variance be granted, seconded by
Mr. Philips and duly carried.
There being no further business the meeting was adjfurned.
