Special Meeting
August 29, 1969
The Board of Adjustment met in a reconvened session of the
adjourned meeting of August 21, 1969. The meeting had been
adjourned due to lack of a quorum.
Members Present:
B. L. Perkins
Robert Karns
M. R. Strickland
Wally Philips
Ned Julian
Others Present:
Mr. L. J. Risner, Building Official
Mr. Kermit Wallstedt, Building Inspector
Due to lack of a quorum at the last called meeting it was
necessary to take up the request of variance. Reading of the
minutes were waived due to lack of time.
The meeting was called to order and Chairman Perkins presented
the letter of request for variance for Mr. James Mitchell for
a variance in the front yard at 1603 West llth Street letter as
follows:

Gentlemen:
I am submitting the following information for your con-
sideration in requesting variance in the Zoning Ordinance as
it pertains to 8' front yard setback requirements in R -5
Multiple Family Dwelling zoned district.
Legal Description Lot 4, Block 3, Meisch Subdivision,
Sanford, Florida.
Property location 1603 West llth Street, Sanford, Florida.
The planned use of the property is single family residence.

Mr. Mitchell had appeared at previous meeting, which had been
adjourned because of lack of a quorum. He was unable to attend
this meeting. Mr. Mitchell had the previous porch removed for
plans of a new porch being built, leaving porch floor on the
house exposed to the elements. He was unable to meet the
present front yard set back because his home is set back 14'
from the front yard property line.
After discussion regarding this request it was decided by the
Board that the variance should be granted. Mr. Karns made a
motion that the variance be granted, Mr. Julian seconded the
motion.
Voting was unanimous and the motion was carried.
There being no further business the meeting was adjourned.
