Legal description is Lot 12, Lot 13 except N 69' less R/W for French Ave. and Lots 6,8, & 10 less N. 21.5' of Blk 2, E. J. White's Subdivision. Property location is 1407 French Ave. and the planned use of the property is a service station with a canopy. Any consideration given this request will be appreciated. Signed Scovell Oil Co. F IFF 4441 Board of Adjustment • February 13, 1969 Page 2 Mr. William Scovell, President of the Scovell Oil Company presented to the Board the need for the variance request so that they could erect a canopy over the existing gas pumps. A picture of the proposed canopy was shown the members and each agreed thatlhis would be an attractive addition this this area. Mr. Risner, Building Official verified the fact that the ex- isting gas island meets with the Zoning Ordinance and the only part of the canopy that would need a variance would be the overhang and since it would be quite some distance over the pumps there would be no traffic hazard caused by the canopy. After a short discussion Mr. Karns made amotion that the 10' 6" variance in the front yard be granted with a second from Mr. Strickland. Voting was unanimous. 111 There being no further business the meeting was adjourned. A ar Chairman dP Secretary 111
