Philips Garnett White Others Present: Bettie SOnnenberg, Zoning Inspector The meeting was called to order at 11:30 A.M. by the Chairman, B. L. Perkins. The following letter was submitted for consideration: Board of Adjustment City Hall Sanford, FL 32771 Gentlemen: I am submitting the following information for your consideration in requesting variance in the Zoning Ordinance. Address: 701 E. llth Street • Legal Description:Lots 6 & 7, Blk 13, Tr D, E. R. Traffords Map of Sanford, PB 1 PGs 56 -64 Zoning Classification: MR -1, Multiple Family Residential Dwelling District Setback Requirements: Front Yard: 30 ft. Rear Yard: 20 ft. Side Yard: 15 & 10 Ft. Variance Requested: Front Yard: 3 ft. Rear Yard: -0- Side Yard: -0- The planned use of the property is to erect an apartment building. Any consideration given this request will be appreciated. Slgned: Donovan D. Thorney Mr. Thorney was present to represent the variance request. After discussion, Mr. Schaffer moved to approve the 3ft. front yard variance. Mr. Blair seconded. Motion carried. Address: 306 Woodfield Court • Legal Description: Lot 57, Replat of Groveview Village, 3rd Addition. Zoning Classification: SR -1, Single - Family Residential Dwelling Distirct Setback Requirements: Front Yard: 25 ft. Rear Yard: 7 ft. Side Yard: 7 ft. Page 2 Any consideration given this request will be appreciated. • Signed: Michael R. Harvey Mr. & Mrs. Harvey were present to represent the request. They stated the pool was already there because they did not know they had to have a permit to place an above ground pool there. They submitted letters from some of the surrounding neighbors stating they were not in opposition. After a lenghty discussion, Mr. Blair moved to approve the 3'3" rear yard variance. Mr. Schaffer seconded. Motion carried. After the meeting, a neighbor spoke in opposition of the request. He stated there is a safety problem in reference to the fence being so close to the pool and he has seen children jumping from the 4 ft. fence into the swimming pool. Mr. Blair moved to remove his motion and Mr. Schaffer withdrew his second. Mr. Blair moved to table and reconsider the request at the next meeting. Mr. Schaffer seconded. Motion carried to reconsider at the next meeting. ROW line of U.S. Highway 17 & 92, a distance of 689.73 ft., thence run E. a distance of 324.5 ft. for a POB; thence run N., 206.29 ft., thence run N. 89 °59'39" 203.07 ft. thence run S. 00 °11'53" W., 206.31 ft., thence run W. 202.36 ft. to the POB.
