Signed: Karlyne L. Helmers, Owner
Mrs. Helmers was present to represent the request and showed a plan of the en-
closure and the intended extension of her present concrete driveway. She said
the contractor would place a gutter to drain to the back of the property.
After discussion, Mr. White moved to approve the requested variances with the
stipulation that the driveway area never be covered, and a letter be on file
from Mr. George Francis stating that he, as an adjacent property owner, does
not object. Mr. Blair seconded. Motion carried.
Mr. White moved to take from the table, the item from the meeting of July 9, 1982,
a request for a 0' setback at 2102 Hartwell Ave. represented by Mr. Clay Hartsoe.
Mr. Hartsoe was not present. Mr. Blair seconded. Motion carried and the matter
was opened for discussion. After discussion, Mr. White moved to deny the request
for the 0' setback based on the fact that it is a self - imposed hardship and does
not conform to the existing neighborhood. Mr. Blair seconded. Motion carried.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.

Inspection of the footer shows the variance needed to bring the house into the
same line as adjacent property was 14' front and no variance needed on the back.
A telephone poll was taken and all members present agreed that the house should
be in line with the other houses and so the decision to grant the variance should
apply.
Doris Harrison, Sec'y.
