Perkins, Chairman The Board of Adjustment met in the Commission Room at 11:30 A.M. to consider the following requests. The meeting was called to order by Mr. Philips in the absence of the Chairman, who was out of town. Board of Adjustment City Hall Sanford, FL 32771 Gentlemen: I am submitting the following information for your consideration in requesting variance in the Zoning Ordinance as follows: Front and rear yard setback requirements in MR -2 Zoned District. A variance of 5' is needed on the front and 7.2' on the rear. • Legal description: Lot 3, Blk 6, Tr B, Town of Sanford, PB 1, Pg 56 Property location 512 E. 5th St. The planned use of the property is a single - family dwelling. Any consideration given this request will be appreciated. Signed: Zillersteen Bellamy Owner The members reviewed the plot plan and determined that Mrs. Bellamy was going to replace the same structure that had previously been demolished at that location and the house would be on the same line as the adjacent houses. Mr. White moved to approve the setbacks required. Mr. Blair seconded. Motion carried. The next letter for consideration: Board of Adjustment City Hall Sanford, FL 32771 Gentlemen: I am submitting the following information for your consideration in requesting variance in the Zoning Ordinance as follows: Rear and side yard setback re- quirements in PUD Zoned District. A variance of 3.5' is needed on the side and 110 1 ft. 6 in. on the side. Legal description Lot 37, Sanora South, Unit I, PB 19, Pg. 76 and 77. Property location: 127 Rabun Ct. The planned use of the property is open patio with roof. Any consideration given BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT - July 23, 1982 - 11:30 A.M. Page 2 this request will be appreciated. • Signed: Karlyne L. Helmers, Owner Mrs. Helmers was present to represent the request and showed a plan of the en- closure and the intended extension of her present concrete driveway. She said the contractor would place a gutter to drain to the back of the property. After discussion, Mr. White moved to approve the requested variances with the stipulation that the driveway area never be covered, and a letter be on file from Mr. George Francis stating that he, as an adjacent property owner, does not object. Mr. Blair seconded. Motion carried. Mr. White moved to take from the table, the item from the meeting of July 9, 1982, a request for a 0' setback at 2102 Hartwell Ave. represented by Mr. Clay Hartsoe. Mr. Hartsoe was not present. Mr. Blair seconded. Motion carried and the matter was opened for discussion. After discussion, Mr. White moved to deny the request for the 0' setback based on the fact that it is a self - imposed hardship and does not conform to the existing neighborhood. Mr. Blair seconded. Philips, Sec'y.-Tr •.1_. i July 27, 1982 Inspection of the footer shows the variance needed to bring the house into the same line as adjacent property was 14' front and no variance needed on the back. A telephone poll was taken and all members present agreed that the house should be in line with the other houses and so the decision to grant the variance should apply. Doris Harrison, Sec'y. III I _A
