Philips Garnett White The Board of Adjustment met to reconsider the request from Dr. Runge, 2105 Park Ave. for an open carport, after the City Commission at their meeting of May 26, 1981, had referred the request back to the Board of Adjustment for a decision. (See Board of Adjustment Minutes -May 15,1981) Mrs. O'Gara represented Dr. Runge at the meeting and pointed out on the site plan the proposed open carport. A letter was submitted with the consent of the adjacent property owners, Mr. Walter Fesler and Mrs. Lucille Fesler. (Letter attached.) It was pointed out that the garage belonging to the Fesler's is indeed on Dr. Runge's property, and the proposed carport will be up to the property line and this is in agreement with the present property owners, however, it could become a problem in the future with different property owners. • Mrs. O'Gara said the water from the carport roof will be controlled so that it does not run on the adjacent property. Mr. Karns said he had a question as to whether the board could legally approve the variance, but felt it would be an attractive asset to the neighborhood and the property owners would assume the responsibility. He moved to approve the variance, subject to the letter being made a part of the Minutes. Mr. Blair seconded. Motion carried. There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned. Cs .27-9.
