HomeMy WebLinkAbout04251997 min r MINUTES The Board of Adjustment of the City of Sanford, Florida, met in Regular Session in the City Commission Chambers of the City Hall at 11:30 A.M. on April 25, 1997. • Members Present: Larry Blair, Chairman Henry Sweet Sylvia Smith Member Absent: Carol Dennison,excused Henry Sweet, excused Others Present: Gary Winn, Building Official Arlene Rumbley, Secretary The following letter was submitted for consideration: Board of Adjustment City Hall Sanford, FL 32771 Gentlemen: I am submitting the following information for your consideration in requesting a variance in the Zoning Ordinance. Address: 3400 - 3425 Whippoorwill Ct. Legal Description: S ' of the NW 1/4 of Sec 7 TS 20 S, R 31E, Lots 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,12,13,15 ,16,17,18,19,20,21,22,23,24,25, & 26 as recorded in Sanford, Seminole County, Florida. • Zoning Classification: SR -1 Front Yard Setback Requirement: 25' Present Setback: 15' Variance Needed: 10' The planned use of the property is erect single family residence. Any consideration given this request will be appreciated. Signed: Joe Baker Mr. Baker was present to represent the request. He stated that the reason he wanted to reduce front yard setback to save some of the trees to move the house forward to save trees in the back yard. Ms. Smith made a motion to disapprove the request and recommend to revise the current request to include 1 lot at this time, include tree survey with plot plan. This request to be continued to the next available Board of Adjustment meeting. Future request to be concurrent with building permits application. Mr. Sweet seconded. PAGE 2 Other Business: • Mr. Winn asked the board to consider to move the Board of Adjustment meetings on Thursday not Fridays. Ms. Smith recommend to rescheduled the regular meetings from Fridays to Thursdays at 11:30 A.M. Mr. Sweet seconded. Blair - aye Smith - aye Sweet - aye Motion carried.
