The Board of Adjustment of the City of Sanford, Florida, met in
Regular Session in the City Commission Chambers of the City Hall at
11:30 A.M. on April 11, 1997
• Members Present: Larry Blair, Chairman
Sylvia Smith
Carol Dennison
Henry Sweet
Member Absent: Karl Stairs, excused
Others Present: Gary Winn, Building Official
Arlene Rumbley, Secretary
The meeting was called to order at 11:40 A.M. by the Chairman
Larry Blair.
The following letter was submitted for consideration:

Sanford, FL 32771
Gentlemen:
I am submitting the following information for your consideration in
requesting a variance in the Zoning Ordinance.
• Address: 2419 Myrtle Av.
Legal Description: S 10 ft of Lot 58 + all of Lot 59, Franklin
Terrace PB 3 Pg 78 as recorded in Sanford, Seminole County, FL
Zoning Classification: SR -1A
Side Yard Setback Requirement: 7.5 ft
Present Setback: 3 ft
Variance Needed: 4.5 ft
The planned use of the property is to erect a garage.
Any consideration given this request will be appreciated.

Mr. Joyce was present to represent the request.
Ms. Smith requested to change the present setback to 2.5 instead
of 3' and variance needed will be 5'.
Ms. Smith made a motion to amend the 5' and to approve the variance
request. Mr. Sweet seconded.

• Mr. Winn brought up to the board about moving the meetings on a
Thuresday instead of Friday. The board members agreed. The board
asked the Secretary to check with the City Clerk to see if there
would be any problem to change the days for the meeting.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
