The Board of Adjustment of the City of Sanford, Florida, met in
Regular Session in the City Commission Chambers of the City Hall at
11:30 A.M. on February 23, 1996.
Members Present: Larry Blair, Chairman
Karl Stairs
Carol Dennison
Henry Sweet
Member Absent: Sylvia Smith,excused
Others Present: Gary Winn, Building Official
Arlene Rumbley, Secretary
The meeting was called to order at 11:30 A.M. by the Chairman
Larry Blair.
The following letter was submitted for consideration:
Board of Adjustment

Sanford, FL 32771
Gentlemen:
• I am submitting the following information for your consideration in
requesting a variance in the Zoning Ordinance.
Address: 100 Academy Avenue
Legal Description: Lot 1 Academy Manor Unit 1, RECORDED IN PB 13 PG
9356 of the Public Records of Seminole County, Florida.
Zoning Classification: SR -1
Other: Request to allow Chain link fence in front yard. side
Planned use of the property is to install a chain link fence.
Any consideration given this request will be appreciated.

Ms. Soto was present to represent the request. Ms. Soto advised
the board that for the safety for children and her grandson.
Mr. Sweet made a motion to deny the request. Mr. Sweet recommended
denial because it is not consistent with the Land Development
Regulation. Mr. Stairs seconded.

The next 3 requests were submitted by All Star Construction. No
one was present to represent the request.
Ms. Dennison made a motion to table the request due to lack of
representation. Mr. Stairs seconded.

Motion carried
Mr. Blair chairman of the board requested that they be notified of
the rescheduled date.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
