• MINUTES
The Board of Adjustment of the City of Sanford, Florida, met in
Regular Session in the City Commission Chambers of the City Hall at
11:30 A.M. on October 14, 1994.
Members Present: Larry Blair, Chairman
Karl Stairs
Norval Angle
Member Absent: Carol Dennison, excused
Sylvia Smith, excused
Others Present: Gary Winn, Building Official
Mary Muse, Secretary
The following letter was submitted for consideration:

Gentlemen:
I am submitting the following information for your consideration in
requesting a variance in the Zoning Ordinance.
Address: 2851 Gale Place
Legal Description: Lot 16, Block F, Woodmere Park 2nd Replat, PB
• 13, PG 73 as recorded in the Public Records of Seminole County,
Florida.
Zoning Classification: SR -1
Front Yard Setback Requirement: 25 feet
Present Setback: 5.59 feet
Variance Needed: 19.41 feet
Side Yard Setback Requirement: 7.5 feet
Present Setback: 4.05 feet
Variance Needed: 3.5 feet
The planned use of the property is to erect an attached carport to
an existing single - family residence.
Any consideration given this request will be appreciated.

Mr. Smith was present to represent the request. Mr. Smith advised
the board that the carport was installed 3 years ago by a company
who failed to obtain a permit and know they are out of business.
Letters were submitted from adjacent neighbors.
Mr. Stairs made a motion to approve the request with the
stipulation that the carport never be enclosed. Mr. Angle
seconded.

The next 2 cases, BOA 94 -2279 & 94 -2279 were tabled until the next
meeting due to lack of representation.
Mr. Angle made a motion to table cases until next meeting. Mr.
Stairs seconded.

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
