MINUTES
The Board of Adjustment of the City of Sanford. Florida, met in
Regular Session in the City Commission Chambers of the City Hall
at 11:30 R.M. on May 13, 1994.
Members Present: Larry Blair
Sylvia Smith
Norval Angle
Member Absent: Carol Dennison, unexcused
Karl Stairs, unexcused
Others Present: Gary Winn, Building Official
The meeting was called to order at 11:30 A.M. by the Chairman.,
Larry Blair.
The following letter was submitted for consideration:

Gentlemen:
• I am submitting the following information for your consideration
in requesting a variance in the Zoning Ordinance.
Address: 600 Orange Avenue
Legal Description: Lot 2 & S 1/2 of ST ADJ on N & All Lot 3 Elk
8 Tr E Town of Sanford as recorded in PB 1 PG 56 of the Public
Records of Seminole County, Florida.
Zoning Classification: SR -1
Front Yard Setback Requirement: 25 feet
Present Setback: 5 feet
Variance Needed: 20 feet
The planned use of the property is to erect a carport.
Any consideration given this request will be appreciated.
Signed: Ernest Thorne
A representative from Pacesetter Corporation was present to
represent the request. The carport construction is aluminum and
fiberglass.
• Ms. Smith made a motion to approve the variance request with the
stipulation that the carport is not to be enclosed. Mr. Angle
seconded.
