The Board of Adjustment of the City of Sanford, Florida, met in
Regular Session in the City Commission Chambers of the City Hall
at 11:37 A.M. on August 27, 1993.
Members Present: Larry Blair, Chairman
Karl Stairs
Sylvia Smith
Members Absent: Joe Hartwig, unexcused
Norval Angle, excused
Others Present: Gary Winn, Building Official
Mary Muse, Secretary
The meeting was called to order at 11:37 A.M. by Larry Blair,
Chairman.
The following letter was submitted for consideration:

Gentlemen:
I am submitting the following information for your consideration
in requesting a variance in the Zoning Ordinance.
Address: 2019 Park Avenue
Legal Description: Lot 3 (Less W 5 ft) Sanford Terrace, PB 4
PG 36, Seminole County, Florida
Zoning Classification: MR -2
Side Yard Setback Requirement: 7.5 feet
Present Setback: 1.8 feet
Variance Needed: 5.7 feet
The planned use of the property is to erect an attached garage to
an existing single family residence.
Any consideration given this request will be appreciated.

Mr. Kutz was present to represent the request. Mr. Kutz advised
the board that he is in the process of moving from a house, which
was larger, into this house and would like to have the garage for
• additional storage. He has spoken with the adjoining neighbors
and they do not have any objections. He is requesting that the
garage be set at this location due to some existing trees that he

would prefer not to have to cut down. He would like to attach
the garage to the existing house in the future.
After discussion, Ms. Smith made a motion to approve the 5.7 ft.
variance to allow a 1.8 ft. setback on the south side property
line. Mr. Stairs seconded.

Motion carried.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
