• MINUTES
The Board of Adjustment of the City of Sanford, Florida, met in
Regular Session in the City Commission Chambers of the City Hall
at 11:30 A.M. on July 23, 1993.
Members Present: Larry Blair, Chairman
Karl Stairs
Norval Angle
Members Absent: Sylvia Smith, excused
Joe Hartwig, unexcused
Others Present: Gary Winn, Building Official
Mary Muse, Secretary
The meeting was called to :girder at 11:40 A.M. by Larry Blair,
Chairman.
The following letter was submitted for consideration:

Gentlemen:
I am submitting the following information for your consideration_
in requesting a variance in the Zoning Ordinance.
Address: 2809 Grove Drive
Legal Description: Lot 5 Blk G Woodmere Park 2nd Replat, PE 13
PG 73, Seminole County, Florida
Zoning Classification: SR -1
Front Yard Setback Requirement: 25 feet
Present Setback: 10.80 feet
Variance Needed: 14.20 feet
The planned use of the property is t..c• erect an addition onto
existing single family residence.
Any consideration given this request will be appreciated.

Mr. Hudson was present to represent the request. Mr. Hudson
informed the board that he has been a resident there for 12
• years. He is now married with one child and needs the additional
room. The addition will be utilized as a garage, living room,
and a bedroom. There has not been any objections by the
neighbors.

After discussion, Mr. Angle made a notion to deny the request
because he felt it would stick out too far and would not look
good. Mr. Stairs seconded. During discussion, Mr. Hudson stated
he would be willing to decrease the request if the board would be
willing to grant it. Mr. Angle withdrew his motion and Mr.
Stairs withdrew his second.
Mr. Angle made a motion to approve rove a 11 .' ft. yard ; a* e

which would give him a 13.3 ft. front yard. setback. Mr. Stairs
seconded.

Motion carried.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned..
