Members Present: Karl Stairs, Acting Chairman Sylvia Smith Joe Hartwig Members Absent: Larry Blair, Chairman - unexcused Norval Angle - unexcused Others Present: Gary Winn, Building Official Mary Muse, Secretary The meeting was called to order at 11:370 A.M. by Acting Chairman, Karl Stairs. The following letter was submitted for consideration: Board of Adjustment City Hall • Sanford, FL 32771 Gentlemen: I am submitting the following information for your consideration in requesting a variance in the Zoning Ordinance. Address: 1335 Pine Way Legal Description: SEC 18 TWP 20S RGE 31E E 100' OF N 465' OF W 2/3 OF NW 1/4 OF SE 1/4 (LESS N 25' FOR RD) Zoning Classification: AG Side Yard Setback Requirement: 20 feet Present Setback: 15 feet Variance Needed: 5 feet The planned use of the property is to erect a single family residence. Any consideration given this request will be appreciated. Signed: William Thomas Mr. Thomas was present to represent the request. The house was situated on the property so he could avoid removing any trees. The property is heavily wooded and wishes to preserve the • property. PB 3 PG 51 • Zoning Classification: SR -1A Side Yard Setback Requirement: 10 feet(interior) & 25 feet(alley side) Present Setback: 7.5 feet (interior & alley side) Variance Needed: 2.5 feet(interior) & 17.5 feet(alley side) The planned use of the property is to erect a single family residence. Any consideration given this request will be appreciated. Signed: Freddy Rodriquez Rose Oesterle was present to represent the request for the owner. They have designed the layout of the property so an 18" oak tree could be saved. They will suggest a 2 story house to the owner. Ms. Smith made a motion to approve the request due to them designing the house to save the existing oak tree. Mr. Hartwig seconded. PAGE 3 Other Business: Ms. Smith suggested a few changes to our Board of Adjustment applications. She would like to see that the "graphics" be removed, which staff is in process of doing, and include on the application what the existing use of the property is.
