• MINUTES
The Board of Adjustment of the City of Sanford, Florida, met in
Regular Session in the City Commission Chambers of the City Hall
at 11:35 A.M. on December 11, 1992.
Members Present: Larry Blair
Sylvia Smith
Joe Hartwig
Karl Stairs
Member Absent: Norval Angle
Others Present: Bettie Sonnenberg, Land Development Coordinator
Mary Muse, Secretary
The meeting was called to order at 11:35 A.M. by the Chairman,
Larry Blair.
The following letter was submitted for consideration:

• Gentlemen:
I am submitting the following information for your consideration
in requesting a variance in the Zoning Ordinance.
Address: 1702 Peach Avenue
Legal Description: Lot 24, Blk 20, Pine Level, as recorded in PB
6, PG 37, Sanford, Seminole County.
Zoning Classification: MR -2
Side Yard Setback Requirement: 7.5 feet
Present Setback: 5 feet
Variance Needed: 2.5 feet
Rear Yard Setback Requirement: 20 feet
Present Setback: 15 feet
Variance Needed: 5 feet
Lot Size Requirement: 5,000 sq. ft.
Present Lot Size: 4,000 sq. ft.
Variance Needed: 1,000 sq. ft.
Lot Width Requirement: 50 ft.
Present Lot Width: 40 ft.
Variance Needed: 10 ft.
The planned use of the property is to construct a single family
residence.

Mrs. Sonnenberg informed the board that the City of Sanford owns
the lot and is being donated to the Goldenrule Housing &
Community Development Corporation. This is the fifth lot that
the City has given to Golden Rule. The City allows non-
conforming lots to have 5 ft. side yard setbacks.
Mr. Stairs made a motion to approve the lot width, lot size, side
yard, and rear yard variance. Mr. Hartwig seconded.

Motion carried.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
