The Board of Adjustment of the City of Sanford, Florida, met in
Regular Session in the City Commission Chambers of the City Hall
at 11:30 A.M. on April 10, 1992.
Members Present: Karl Stairs
Norval Angle
Sylvia Smith
Joe Hartwig
Member Absent: Larry Blair
Others Present: Gary Winn, Building Official
Mary Muse, Secretary
The meeting was called to order at 11:35 A.M. by the Acting
Chairman, Karl Stairs.
The following letter was submitted for consideration:

Gentlemen:
411 I am submitting the following information for your consideration
in requesting a variance in the Zoning Ordinance.
Address: 1800 French Avenue
Legal Description: Lots 40, 41, & 42 (less E. 8 ft. in St.) 1st
Addn to Pinehurst as recorded in PB 5 PG 79, Sanford, Seminole
County, Florida.
Zoning Classification: GC -2
Front Yard Setback Requirement: 35 feet
Present Setback: 7 feet
Variance Needed: 28 feet
The planned use of the property is to construct a canopy over
existing gasoline islands.
Any consideration given this request will be appreciated.

Mr. Jose Faustmann, Representative for LV 32 Inc., was present to
represent the request. The company would like to install a canopy
over the existing gasoline islands. Staff does not have a
problem with the request due to the height of the canopy and it
being open.
• After discussion, Mr. Angle made a motion to approve the request.
Ms. Smith seconded.
