• The Board of Adjustment of the City of Sanford, Florida. met in
Regular Session in the City Commission Chambers of the City Hall
at 11:30 A.M. on January 10, 1992.
Members Present: Larry Blair
Norval Angle
Sylvia Smith
Karl Stairs
Members Absent: John McClanahan
Others Present: Gary Winn, Building Official
Mary Muse, Secretary
The meeting was called. to order at 11:32 A.M. by the Chairman,
Larry Blair.
The following letter was submitted for consideration:

Gentlemen:
• I am submitting the fotlow.ng information for your consideraation
in requesting a variance in the Zoninc; Ordinance.
Address: 2308 Mellonville Avenue
Legal Description: See Attached Legal
Zoning Classification: SR -1AA
Road Frontage -Flag Lot Requirement: 20 feet
Present Frontage: 14.65 feet
Variance Needed: 5.35 feet
The planned use of the property: is to construct a single family
residence.
Any consideration given this request will he appreciated.

Mr. Filcher was present to represent the request. The lot is a
buildable lot with the exception of the 20 ft. street frontage.
Mr. Filcher submitted a copy of a recorded easement for a 10 ft.
easement for the property owner next door. Ms. Smith asked why
couldn't the extra 5.35 ft. be taken from the property on the
north side since there was adequate space. Mr. Filcher advised -
the board. that the mortgage deed would have to be changed then.
After discussion, Mr. Angle made a motion to approve the re_a,-lest.
The motion died due to a lack of a second.

Ms. Smith made a motion to deny the request due to owner is
creating their own hardship and the property is not being
conveyed to anyone. Motion died due to lack of a second.
After some further discussion, Ms. Smith made a motion to deny
the request. Mr. Stairs seconded.

Motion carried.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
