HomeMy WebLinkAbout11081991 min • MINUTES The Board of Adjustment of the City of Sanford, Florida, met in Regular Session in the City Commission Chambers of the City Hall at 11:30 a.m. on November 8, 1991. Members Present: Norval Angle John McClanahan Larry Blair 1 Karl Stairs Members Absent: W. M. Philips / J�, P 7/, Others Present: Sylvia Smith ` " Mary Muse, Secretary 9/ The meeting was called to order at 11:35 a.m. The following letter was submitted for consideration: Board of Adjustment City Hall Sanford, FL 32771 Gentlemen: • I am submitting the following information for your consideration in requesting a variance in the Zoning Ordinance. Address: NE Corner of Mellonville Ave & ST RD 46 Legal Description: Lot 167, Sanfo Park, as recorded in PB 5 PG 62 of the Public Records of Seminole County, Florida. Zoning Classification: MR -2 Side Yard Requirements: 25 feet Present Setbacks: 15 feet Variance Needed: 10 feet The planned use of the property is to construct a single family residence. Any consideration given this request will be appreciated. Signed: Janice Kutz Mr. Andrew Kutz was present to represent the request for his wife. Mr. Kutz advised the board that the code previously allowed 15 feet on a side yard that fronted on a street. Since the LDR was approved in Dec. 1989, it requires the 25 feet on the side yard that fronts a street. The property will be utilized for rental. Norval Angle made a motion to approve the request. Under New Business Mrs. Muse advised the board that they needed to elect a new Chairman and Vice - Chairman. Acting Chairman, Larry Blair, opened the floor for nominations. Mr. Angle nominated himself for Chairman. Mr. McClanahan nominated Larry Blair for Chairman. Nominations closed. Mr. Blair was elected Chairman. Mr. McClanahan nominated Karl Stairs for Vice Chairman. Nominations were closed. Mr. Stairs was elected Vice Chairman.
