HomeMy WebLinkAbout06141991 min MINUTES The Board of Adjustment of the City of Sanford, Florida, met in • Regular Session in the City Commission Chambers of the City Hall at 11:30 a.m. on June 14, 1991. Members Present: Larry Blair Norval Angle John McClanahan Karl Stairs Members Absent: W.M. Philips Others Present: Gary Winn, Building Official Linda Gentry, Secretary The following letter was submitted for consideration: Board of Adjustment City Hall Sanford, FL 32771 Gentlemen: I am submitting the following information for your consideration in requesting a variance in the Zoning Ordinance. Case #91 -008 • Address: 130 W. Airport Blvd. Zoning Classification: GC -2 Variance Requested: Reduction of Parking Spaces & Reduction of Required Buffer along Airport Blvd. The is now being used as a funeral home. Any consideration given this request will be appreciated. Signed: Betty Gramkow Daniel Webster of Dunn, Webster & Swain of Daytona Beach was present to represent Mrs. Gramkow. He submitted a site plan to the Board and explained that the intent is to move the front -end parking to the rear of the property and to clear out the undergrowth for additional parking. He stated the DOT is to provide a cut for the driveway and that they would like for the parking to remain as it has been in the past. He also advised that the buffer requirement is 10' and they would like to have a 5' buffer. The reason for the alterations is due to the fact that the planned expressway will be put through the area in question. • John McClanahan made a motion to approve the request. Norval Angle seconded. He advised that the alley is not used and that he is in the process of having it abandoned. John McClanahan made a motion to approve the request with the stipulation that gutter is attached to the roof over the deck.
