Gentlemen:
I am submitting the following information for your considelation
in requesting a variance in the Zoning Ordinance.
Case - 491-007
Address: 2613 El Portal Drive
Legal Description: Lot 15, 4th Section Dreamwold PB 4 PG 99
Zoning Classification: SR-1
Side Yard Requirements: 4 feet
Present Setbacks: 3 feet.
Variance Needed: 1 foot
The planned use of the property is to extend overhang of existing
utility building to cover existing lab to store a boat.
Any consideration given this request will be appreciated.

Michael DeDole was present and stated that he only wanted to
extend tthe roof enough to cover his boat. He also advised that
any drain-off would not go into the neighbor's yard.
Norval Angle made a motion to approve the request with the
stipulation that the extended roof could not be enclosed in the
future. John McClanahan seconded.

The planned use of this property is to -:onstruct a single family
residence.

No representative was present to represent the request.
Mary Muse explained to the members that prior to the adoption of
the Land Development Regulations, it was required that property
owners have a 15 feet setback on a corner lot. In regards to tie
other houses in the area, this one would not he out of line.
John McClanahan made a motion to approve the request. Karl
Stairs seconded.
