Members Present: Steve Richards, Acting Chairman Norval Angle John McClanahan Members Absent: W.M. Philips, Chairman Larry Blair Others Present: Gary Winn The following letter was submitted for consideration: Board of Adjustment City Hall Sanford, FL 32771 Gentlemen: I am submitting the following information for your consideration in requesting a variance in the Zoning Ordinance. Case #90 -13 • Address: 1123 Hickory Avenue Legal Description: S. 1/2 of Lot 20, Holden Real Estate Company's addition as recorded in Sanford, Seminole County, Fla. Zoning Classification: SR -1 Side Yard Requirements: 7.5 feet Present Setbacks: 2.8 feet Variance Needed: 4.7 feet The planned use of the property is to add bath and 3' to a bedroom of an existing dwelling. Any consideration given this request will be appreciated. Signed: Cynthia Cambridge Cynthia Cambridge was present to represent the request. she stated that the way the houses were built, the bathroom opens in the kitchen and she wants another opening into the bathroom and to enlarge the bath and bedroom also. Mr. Winn stated that he had not objection because the houses were built a long time ago when two (2) houses were placed on one (1) lot leaving very little room between the existing dwellings. Case #90 -14 Address: 1601 W. 11th Street Legal Description: Lot 5, Blk 3, Meisch's Subdivision Zoning Classification: MR -2 Side Yard Requirements: 25 feet Present Setbacks: 16 feet Variance Needed: 9 feet The planned use of this property is to expand a non- conforming 111 structure. Any consideration given this request will be appreciated. Signed: John W. & D.M. Anderson John Anderson was present to represent the request. He advised that he had received approval for a conditional use from Planning & Zoning and wanted to convert a single- family dwelling into a duplex. The corner lot setbacks would have been acceptable under the old ordinance and would like to have the varinace in order to save a very old tree on the lot. He advise that the tree would probably have to be trimmed but he did not want to remove it. John McClanahan made a motion to approve the request. Steve Richards seconded.
