Members Present: W.M. Philips Larry Blair Steve Richards Norval Angle John McClanahan Others Present: Gary Winn The following letter was submitted for consideration: Board of Adjustment City Hall Sanford, FL 32771 Gentlemen: I am submitting the following information for your consideration in requesting a variance in the Zoning Ordinance. Case #90 -08 • Address: 400 W. 19th Street Legal Description: Lot 97 Sanford Heights PB 2 PG 63 as recorded in Sanford, Seminole County, Florida Zoning Classification: SR -1A Side Yard Requirements: 25 feet Present Setbacks: 15 feet Variance Needed: 10 feet The planned use of the property is to construct a single family dwelling. Any consideration given this request will be appreciated. Signed: Stenstrom -Stump Const. David Stump was present to represent the request. He stated that the lot was a lot of record and under the old ordinance, a variance would not have been needed. The lot is 55' wide and the house to be built will be approximately 28' wide. Mr. Winn stated that he had not objection. Norval Angle made a motion to approve the request the 10 feet variance. Case #90 -09 Address: 100 Hazel Blvd. Legal Description: Lot 1 Hazel Glen PB 33 PG 63 as recorded in Sanford, Seminole County, Florida Zoning Classification: SR -1A Side Yard Requirements: 4 feet • Present Setbacks: 2 feet Variance Needed: 2 feet Rear Yard Requirements: 4 feet Present Setbacks: 3 feet Variance Needed: 1 foot The planned use of this property is to erect a utility shed. Any consideration given this request will be appreciated. Signed: Ernest Alexander Mr. Alexander was present to represent the request. He advised that he had checked with Cablevision and they had no objection to the shed. He also checked with Florida Power & Light. They stated they had no objection but would not give him written permission in case they needed to do work in the future. Mr. Alexander stated to the Board that if the shed had to be moved for any reason , that he would assume full responsibility. Norval Angle made a motion to approve with the stipulation that Mr. Alexander give a letter stating that he will take full responsibilty if the shed has to be removed for any reason. Trafford's Map of the Town of Sanford PB 1 PGS 56 -64 as recorded in Sanford, Seminole County, Florida Zoning Classification: SC -3 Present Sign Square Footage: 50 sq. feet Variance Requested: 20 sq. ft. The planned use of this property is to increase the signage on the existing ground sign. Any consideration given this request will be appreciated. Signed: Mel Dekle Jim Williams was present to represent the request for Boone Sign Company. He submitted pictures showing the other signs in the area. Mr. Winn stated that the new signage would actually be less than what is there now if the old signs were refurbished. Any consideration given this request will be appreciated. Signed: Gary White Gary White was present to represent the request. He stated that the original intent was to have the garage separate from the house but he decided to connect it with a laundry room. He also advised that he may purchase the property in the rear of his house in the near future. Larry Blair made a motion to approve the request. Norval Angle seconded. Case #90 -12 Address: 1800 Lake Avenue Legal Description: Lot 56 & East 1/2 of Vacated Alley, Pinehurst Subdivision PB 3 PG 71 as recorded in Sanford, Seminole County, Florida Zoning Classification: SR -1 Side Yard Requirements: 25' Present Setbacks: 17' Variance Needed: 8' The planned use of this property is to construct a single family residence. • Any consideration given this request will be appreciated. David Stump was present to represent the request and stated that the lot was a lot of record and would have been permitted without a variance under the old zoning ordinance.
