The Board of Adjustment of the City of Sanford, Florida, met in
Regular Session in the City Commission Chambers of the City Hall
at 11:30 a.m. on April 14, 1989.
Members Present: Larry Blair, Acting Chairman
Joe Schaeffer
Norval Angle
Members Absent: W.M. Philips
Steve Richards
Others Present: Gary Winn, Building Official
The meeting was called to order at 11:35 a.m. by Larry Blair,
Acting Chariman.
The following letter was submitted for consideration:

Sanford, FL 32771
Gentlemen:
• I am submitting the following information for your consideration
in requesting a variance in the Zoning Ordinance in reference to
Front Yard variance requirements in an SR -1A district.
Address: 2208 Coronado Concourse
Legal Description: Lot 10, Replat of Block 10, Highland Park
Zoning Classification: SR -1A
Front Yard Requirements: 25 ft.
Variance Needed: 6 ft.
The planned use of the property is to use an existing single
family dwelling as a single family dwelling.
Any consideration given this request will be appreciated.

Gary Hage was present to represent the request. He explained to
the Board that he and his wife were in the process of buying the
property but could not get approval from FHA because of a patio
that was added to the dwelling by the previous owner.
Mr. Hage advised that he is planning to move the patio to the
• rear of the house at a later date and that there would be nothing
attached to the front of the house after that time.

• Mr. Angle made a motion to approve the variance. Mr. Schaeffer
seconded the motion with the stipulation that as long as the
structure is on the front of the house, it can never be enclosed.

Motion carried.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
