Members Present: W.M. Philips Joe Schaffer Steve Richards Norval Angle Members Absent: Larry Blair Others Present: Gary Winn The meeting was called to order at 11:35 a.m. The following letter was submitted for consideration: Board of Adjustment City Hall Sanford, FL 32771 Gentlemen: I am submitting the following information for your consideration in requesting a variance in the Zoning Ordinance. • Address: 220 W. 18th Street Legal Description: Lot 58 Sanford Heights Zoning Classification: SR -1AA Side Yard Requirements: 10 feet Present Setbacks: 4.5 feet Variance Needed: 5.5 feet The planned use of the property is to construct a single family residence. Any consideration given this request will be appreciated. Signed: Dorothy Young Mrs. Young was present to represent the request and presented a letter from her neighbor stating that he had no objection to the request for the garage addition. PAGE 2 • The following letter was submitted for consideration: Board of Adjustment City Hall Sanford, FL 32771 Gentlemen: I am submitting the following information for your consideration in requesting a variance in the Zoning Ordinance. Address: 3603 Orlando Drive Zoning Classification: GC -2 Requested Variance: Decrease square footage of existing sign from 96 sq.ft. to 84 sq.ft. which still exceeds the allowable square footage by 34 sq.ft. Any consideration given this request will be appreciated. Signed: Melweb Signs Joe Notarianni was present to represent the request and advised that the present sign was 96 square feet and they wanted to • change the face of the sign for Southeast Bank but they were going to use the existing pole. The new square footage would bee 84 square feet which would still exceed the allowable by 34 square feet but they needed it for visibilty purposes. Steve Richards made a motion to approve the request. Mr. Angle seconded. Philips - aye Schaffer - aye Richards - aye Angle - aye Motion carried. Signed: Eddie & Brenda Banks Eddie Banks was present to represent the request and advised that he wanted to add a room to the rear of the existing dwelling. PAGE 4 • Mr. Winn advised Mr. Dekle and the members of the Board that staff had requested that this case be tabled because they wanted more information on the structure and they are concerned about the distance of the pumps. Norval Angle made a motion to table the case until further notice from the Engineering Department. Joe Schaffer seconded. Philips - aye Schaffer - aye Richards - aye Angle - aye Motion carried.
