Members Present: B.L. Perkins, Chairman Garnett White Larry Blair Joe Schaeffer Members Absent: W.M. Philips Others Present: Gary Winn The meeting was called to order at 11:30 a.m. by the Chairman, B.L. Perkins. The following letter was submitted for consideration: Board of Adjustment City Hall Sanford, FL 32771 Gentlemen: III I am submitting the following information for your consideration in requesting a variance in the Zoning Ordinance. Address: 118 Bent Oak Court Legal Description: Lot 28 Hidden Lake Ph 3 Unit 1 Zoning Classification: SR -1 Side Yard Requirements: 7.5 feet Variance Needed: 3 feet The planned use of the property is to erect a utility building. Any consideration given this request will be appreciated. Signed: Steve & Sherri Futrell Steve & Sherri Futrell were present to represent the request. Letters were submitted from FPL, City Utility Department and Cablevision stating that they had no objection. There was also a letter from their neighbor stating there was no objection. He advised that the canopy will only extend 12' from the building and that it would be constructed of aluminum. Mr. Winn advised that he had no objection. Mr. White made a motion to approve the request with the stipulation that the canopy would not be enclosed anytime in the future. Mr. Schaeffer seconded. Address: 601 Pine Avenue Legal Description: West 124' of Lot 6, Block 8, Tier C of E.R. Trafford's Map of the Town of Sanford Zoning Classification: SR -1 Front Yard Requirements: 25 feet Variance Needed: 16 feet Side Yard Requirements: 15 feet & 7.5 feet Variance Needed: 3.5 feet & 7 feet The planned use of the property is erect an addition to an existing building. • Any consideration given this request will be appreciated. Signed: Victory Temple of God Emanuel Hillary was present to represent the request for the Victory Temple of God. He advised that they had received a variance from the City Commission in reference to the parking and that Levi Coleman did not object to the addition. Mr. White made a motion to approve the request subject to receiving a letter from Mr. Coleman stating that he had no objections. Mr. Blair seconded. PAGE 4 • Gentlemen: I am submitting the following information for your consideration in requesting a variance in the Zoning Ordinance. Address: 111 Winding Ridge Drive Legal Description: Lot 99 Ramblewood PB 23 PGS 7 & 8 Zoning Classification: SR -1A Side Yard Requirements: 7.5 feet Variance Needed: 2.5 feet The planned use of the property is to install an above - ground pool. Any consideration given this request will be appreciated. Signed: Russell & Jan Owen Mr. Winn represented the request due to the property owners not being present. He advised the Board that this was an existing pool and stated that he had no objection at this time. However, if the pool is ever replaced, the new one would have to meet the required setbacks. • Mr. Schaeffer made a motion to approve the request for the existing pool only and subject to the receipt of a letter from the neighbor that there was no objection. Mr. White seconded. Perkins - aye White - aye Blair - aye Schaeffer - aye Motion carried. Jay Marder addressed the Board in reference to the Land Use Plan.
