Meeting was called to order at 5:20pm.
• The Chairman welcomed guest Jay Jacobs, President of the Sanford Historical Society.
Minutes of the January 7 meeting were approved.
Ms. Clarke and Commissioner Woodruff updated the Board on the status of the building
project. The City has selected three firms for engineering and design services. One of
these firms will be chosen to draw up plans for the museum expansion. Contracts should
be signed by May and more information available at the Board's June meeting. A special
meeting of the Board will be called if necessary.
At the last meeting, Mrs. Best had asked that the Fort Mellon marker be moved to the
new Riverwalk from its current location on Second and Mellonville. The local DAR
chapter, donor of the marker, has been asked to submit this request to the City
Commission.
Mr. Jacobs described the photo history book project that the Sanford Historical Society is
doing for Arcadia Publishing. This book will be published in the fall. The Society will
also be creating a computer kiosk with a photo presentation for the Museum lobby. In
addition, the Society's website is up and now has all of the recent newsletters on line.
Ms. Clarke announced that Marian O'Keefe, Curator of the Derby Historical Society will
be giving a program on P.T. Barnum at the Museum on January 19.
• There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 6:OOpm.

The Advisory Board has changed their meeting day to the first Tuesday of the month. This means the
next meeting is Tuesday, March 4 at 5:15pm.
Do you have time to send out an agenda today? If not, let me know and I can do it. I have attached the
minutes of the last meeting.
Serena Fisher is out of the country. I have e mailed reminders to Charlie Carlson, Art Woodruff, and
Chris Best.
Please check to see if you have Janice Springfields' number as 407 - 333 -2430. I had it wrong in my file.
