(FS 286.0105) PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES NEEDING ASSISTANCE TO PARTICIPATE IN ANY OF THESE PROCEEDINGS SHOULD CONTACT THE PERSONNEL OFFICE ADA COORDINATOR AT 330 -5626 48 HOURS IN ADVANCE OF THE MEETING. • • MINUTES SANFORD MUSEUM ADVISORY BOARD MEETING TUESDAY, MARCH 12. 1996 Present: Vann Parker George Scott Richard Packard Douglas Stenstrom Don Vincent John Morgan Others in Attendance: Alicia Clarke, Curator Eveline Bennett, Secretary Meeting was held at the Sanford Museum. Meeting was called to order at 5:10pm. • Ms. Clarke presented new items that were donated to the museum. A fireplace keystone with a female face was presented. It came from the Marshall house that stood on 2nd Street. The history of the house was discussed. Douglas Stenstrom presented minutes from the meeting of December 12, 1995. Corrected statement regarding George Scott recommending Keith Gandy to lay Heritage Bricks. Don Vincent moved to approve the minutes. George Scott seconded. Approved unanimously. Ms. Clarke announced that the museum has a new front sidewalk. The Heritage Brick Program was discussed. Mr. Stenstrom voiced his appreciation to the Parks Department for their great work on Evergreen Cemetery and the Museum grounds. The new Sports Exhibit was discussed. A committee has been formed to plan the exhibit. Mr. Stenstrom offered to meet on a Thursday morning before the end of March to set plans in motion. Mr. Scott suggested a video film display of sports items and information. Security of the items was discussed. Don Vincent suggested that the Board ask the City Clerk to set up a policy to accept money for the duplication of historic photos. • These funds will be used for the reproduction costs. The Historical Society will be responsible for the copying of photos. Vann Parker moved to present this idea to the City. John Morgan seconded. Motion carried unanimously. • Alicia explained that Mark and Diane Williams are interested in volunteering time to computerize and catalog historic photos for the museum. This concept would make the job of locating certain photos much easier. Don Vincent volunteered to meet with the Williams. Ms. Clarke asked the members for information on Banana Lake Cemetery and Hunt's Feed and Seed's neon chickens. The Board suggested possible contacts for both subjects. Meeting adjourned at 6:05pm. • •
