ADVISORY BOARD MEETING
JUNE 8, 1993, 5:00 P.M.
AT CITY HALL
COMMITTEE MEMBERS PRESENT: Myra Bales
Bob Mann
Dr. Vann Parker
Sylvia Stallworth
Elizabeth Gallant
Cecil Tucker
OTHERS PRESENT: Alicia Clarke, Curator
Yvette Hartsfield, Secretary
Meeting was held at City Hall in the Recreation Office. Meeting
was called to order at 5:15 P.M.
Mr. Tucker and the Curator updated the Board on the Seminole County
Museum. relocation. The Board offered its assistance with the move,
if needed.
• The Board had a lengthy discussion regarding celery being a part of
the logo for the Museum.
The Board discussed ways in which the County and the City museums
differ in collection goals and style of exhibits.
The Chairman asked if there were changes or deletions to the
minutes of March 9, 1993. There being none, the minutes were
approved by unanimous consent.
The Curator stated that a goal for the new museum should be
accreditation.
The Board discussed progress on research about Belair. This
research will continue.
The Chairman stated that the Society is now selling bricks for the
walkway at the Museum for $50.00 per brick. Also, there are four
trees left for purchase to help with landscaping.
The Board had a lengthy discussion on the mailbox for the new
Museum.
The Board discussed collecting photos from one source like CSX. In
order to get these photos the Chairman must draft a letter from the
Board.

The Chairman stated that she will present a yearly report for the
next meeting.
Future landscaping for Lake Carola was discussed.
The next meeting will be held on Tuesday, September 14, 1993.
The Board went to the Museum for a walk through.
There being no further business the meeting was adjourned at 7:00
P.M. at the new building.
