On Wednesday, January 22, 1992, the Department of Governmental Services at Valencia Community College, in cooperation with Lawson Lamar, State Attorney for the 9th Judicial Circuit, will be sponsoring a seminar on Florida's Sunshine Law. This seminar is intended to give elected or appointed officials, board or commission members and public administrators a first -hand report on the practical application of the Sunshine • Law, Public Records Law, and new financial disclosure requirements. This seminar is going to be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Earhart Room at Church Street Station (above the Cheyenne Saloon). Parking will be handled through registration and will be free to all participants. Cost for the seminar will be $30.00 for Florida Residents. Our instructors include: Pat Gleason, General Counsel for the Attorney General, State of Florida; Randy Means, Deputy Director of Administration and Investigations, Office of the State Attorney; and William Vose, Chief Assistant, Office of the State Attorney. The Board meets quarterly but during the past year met more frequently to discuss the building expansion project. I expect there will be a number of special called meetings next year. The schedule of meetings for 1992 should be: . March 10 June 9 September 8 December 8 The meetings are on the second Tuesday of the month at 5:15 PM and are held at the Museum. Their schedule starts in March because this board held its first meeting in December of 1987 and we've counted quarters from there.
