OLD BUSINESS:
Status on Crawford property: The legal survey of the property has been completed,
irrigation lines have been installed and this property will be ready for use once Sec. J is
sold out, which is anticipated to be in 2001.
Charging a fee for marking graves for monument layouts: There has been some
controversy between the State Comptroller and the City Attorney on whether the City is
legal in charging a fee for marking graves for monument layouts. This issue is still
pending a final decision by both parties.
Seminole County cleaning up Page Jackson: Seminole County is starting to cleanup their
portion of Page Jackson Cemetery. Underbrush is being been cleared out and on Oct 23,
1999 they are having a volunteer cleanup day of the cemetery.
Renovation of Lakeview Gazebo: Renovation of the Lakeview gazebo has been
completed. A bronze plaque was installed on the gazebo thanking those who donated
towards this project. Funds were allocated in the 1999/2000 budget to repair the brick
building. •
Report on cemetery maintenance contract: The Bon Terre Group Inc. has extended their
contract for another year. Bon Terre Group Inc. will also maintain the Crawford property
once it is established. The Cemetery Committee stated that the Bon Terre Group is to be
commended on their work and how nice the landscape maintenance of the cemetery

J. T. Allen Plot: Howard mentioned that the families with relatives buried in the J.T.
Allen property are requesting landscape maintenance on their property. It has always
been thought that this was private property and not included in the cemetery. After
researching this it appears that this property could have been deeded to the City in 1926.
Further research is being done with the County to determine ownership.
Request from citizen to install wood fencing aloe east ast boundary of Lakeview Cemetery
Parks Division received a complaint from a citizen that her property is not being
maintained and trash is being dumped on it. We reported this to the cemetery landscape
maintenance contractor and he cleaned up that area. She is writing a letter to the City
Commission requesting that a fence be installed. The Cemetery Committee felt that this
request should not be approved. (Note: No letter has been received as of 1- 18 -00. )
No further business meeting was adjourned at 4:25 p.m.
