CEMETERY ADVISORY COMMITTEE
Meeting of October 23, 2003

Minutes of April 23, 2004 were read. Motion to approve. Accepted.
OLD BUSINESS:
Status on paving_ cemetery. Marc Hultin reported that some of the roads in the cemetery will be
paved this year. Total funds available for paving is $40,000. Marc will present a layout of the
proposed roads to be paved. Christopher Neal suggested that the west side going to the Crawford
property be paved first.
Upgrade of Veterans section of Crawford Property: Christopher Neal reported that he is seeking
donations to upgrade the Veterans section. Marc also mentioned that perhaps a request could be
requsted in the 2004/05 budget to match donations to upgrade this area.
City acceptance of J. T. Allen cemetery .property
Marc Hultin mentioned that acceptance of this property is pending a title search which is being
conducted by the City Attorney's office.
NEW BUSINESS:
Information on cleanup of cemetery: Marc informed that committee that tree clean up was
performed in the Evergreen Section in July /03 and in the Lakeview section in Oct. 03. Next
cleanup will be focused on the property further south of Lakeview. A private contractor has been
hired to elevate and cut down some of these trees.
Replacement of Committee member vacancy: Marc reported that the Committee has one
• vacancy and that the Interim City Manager, Andrew VanGaale is handling the replacement of
board members. He is requesting from the Committee names for recommendation to the City
Commission. No names were submitted, however Christopher Neal suggested that a person from
a Veterans Organization be asked to serve.
No further business meeting was adjourned at 4:00 p.m.
