• The Board of Adjustment of the City of Sanford, Florida, met in Regular Session in the City
Commission Chambers of the City Hall at 11:30 A.M. on June 8, 2000.
Members Present: Larry Blair, Chairman
Sylvia Smith
Ruth Stamm
Members Absent: Barbara Knowles - excused
Karl Stairs - unexcused
Others Present: Dan M. Florian, Building Official
Mary Muse, Secretary
The Chairman Larry Blair called the meeting to order at 11:30 A.M.
The following letter was submitted for consideration:

Gentlemen:
• I am submitting the following information for your consideration in requesting a variance in the
Zoning Ordinance.
Address: 101 Queens Court
Legal Description: Lot 85, Mayfair Oaks, as recorded in PB 50 PGS 38 thru 41, Public Records of
the Seminole County, Florida
Zoning Classification: MR -1
RearYard Setback Requirement: 20 ft
Present Setback: 15 ft
Variance Needed: 5ft
The planned use of the property is to construct an aluminum screen room to a single - family residence.
Any consideration given this request will be appreciated.

Mr. Newton was present to represent the request. Mr. Newton stated that he would like to add a
porch onto the back of his house and is requesting it to be 15 ft. instead of the required 20 ft. from
the rear property line.
Ms. Smith made a motion to approve the 5 ft. rear yard variance. Ms. Stamm seconded
