HomeMy WebLinkAbout12282000Min• MINUTES The Board of Adjustment of the City of Sanford, Florida, met in Regular Session in the City Commission Chambers of the City Hall at 11:35 A.M. on December 28, 2000. Members Present: Sylvia Smith, Vice Chairperson Karl Stairs Ruth Stamm Members Absent: Larry Blair - unexcused Barbara Knowles- unexcused Others Present: Joy Deen, Deputy Building Official Mary Muse, Secretary Vice Chairperson Sylvia Smith called the meeting to order at 11:35 A.M. The following letter was submitted for consideration: Board of Adjustment City Hall • Sanford, FL 32771 Gentlemen: I am submitting the following information for your consideration in requesting a variance in the Zoning Ordinance. Address: 1205 Elm Avenue Legal Description: Lots 7 + 8 Blk 14 Tr 6 Town of Sanford, as recorded in PB 1 PG 60, Public Records of the Seminole County, Florida Zoning Classification: SR -1 Variance Needed: 8 -ft. front yard The planned use of the property is to construct an addition onto existing house. Any consideration given this request will be appreciated. Signed: Leigh Englehart Mary Valente and Leigh Englehart were present to represent the variance request. Ms. Valente stated that due to additions being constructed at the rear and sides by previous owners, the front area is the only place this addition could be added. There is a commercial building south of this property and the house on the north side sits way back off of the road. PAGE 2 than the porch. There will be approximately 4 trees, which are no larger than 6" in diameter that would be removed. There will be no large trees impacted by this addition. Mr. Stairs made a motion to approve the variance request. Ms. Stamm seconded. Smith - aye Stairs - aye Stamm - aye Motion carried. New Business: 1.
