• The Board of Adjustment of the City of Sanford, Florida, met in Regular Session in the City Commission
Chambers of the City Hall at 11:35 A.M. on September 13, 2001.
Members Present: Ruth Stamm

Others Present: Dan M. Florian, Building Official
Mary Muse, Secretary
The Acting Chairperson, Andrew Valente, called the meeting to order at 11:35 A. M.
The following letter was submitted for consideration:

Gentlemen:
I am submitting the following information for your consideration in requesting a variance in the Zoning
Ordinance.
Address: 314 Placid Lake Drive
Legal Description: Lot 86, Placid Woods, Phase One, as recorded in PB 51 PGS 23 -29, Public Records
of the Seminole County, Florida
Zoning Classification: MR -3
Rear Yard Setback Requirement: 15 -ft
Present Setback: 6 -ft
Variance Needed: 9 -ft
Minimum Open Space Requirement: 50%
Present Percentage: 40%
Percentage Variance Needed: 10%
Maximum Building Area Requirement: 50%
Present Percentage: 60%
Percentage Variance Needed: 10%
The planned use of the property is to construct a screen room onto existing structure.

Kent Prager, contractor, was present to represent the request. Mr. Prager stated that there is a retention
area behind this property and the screen room should not cause a problem with the other homes in the area.
Letters from neighbors were submitted with application, which stated they did not have a problem with the
screen room.
Ms. Stamm made a motion to approve the variances as requested. Mr. Stair seconded.
