• The Board of Adjustment of the City of Sanford, Florida, met in Regular Session in the City Commission
Chambers of the City Hall at 11:35 A.M. on September 27, 2001.
Members Present: Larry Blair, Chairman
Sylvia Smith
Ruth Stamm
Karl Stairs
Andrew Valente
Others Present: Dan M. Florian, Building Official
Nick Balevich, Engineering & Planning
Mary Muse, Secretary
The Chairperson, Larry Blair, called the meeting to order at 11:35 A.M.
The following letter was submitted for consideration:

• Gentlemen:
I am submitting the following information for your consideration in requesting a variance in the Zoning
Ordinance.
Address: 113 Prince Place
Legal Description: Lot 94, Mayfair Oaks, as recorded in PB 50 PGS 3841, Public Records of the Seminole
County, Florida
Zoning Classification: MR -1
Rear Yard Setback Requirement: 20 -ft
Present Setback: 8 -ft
Variance Needed: 12 -ft
The planned use of the property is to construct a screen room onto existing structure.
Any consideration given this request will be appreciated.

Mr. Povilaitis informed the board that the screen room would be built on an existing slab. Mr. Florian
advised the board that staff recommended approval. The only variance needed would be the rear yard
setback

Ms. Smith made a motion to approve the variances as requested. Ms. Stamm seconded.

NEW BUSINESS:
1. Ms. Stamm questioned a chain link fence in the front yard area at a day care facility on Sanford
Avenue. The Staff advised her it was in Seminole County's jurisdiction.
2. Mr. Valente questioned Mr. Balevich about item number one on the variance checklist regarding
special conditions and circumstances. Mr. Balevich stated staff looks at it as only "screen" not a
room addition.
