BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT
June 13, 2002
The Board of Adjustment of the City of Sanford, Florida met in Regular Session in the
City Commission Chambers of the City Hall at 11:43, AM on June 13, 2002.

The Chairperson Larry Blair called the meeting to order at 11:43, AM.
The following letter was submitted for consideration:

Gentlemen:
I am submitting the following information for your consideration in requesting a variance
in the Zoning Ordinance.
Address: 102 Rose Hill Tr.
Legal Description: LOT 2 Rose Hill PB 54 PGS 41 & 42
Zoning Classification. SRI
Front Side Yard Fence Height Requirement: 4'
Variance Requested: 2'
The request for this variance is to approve a 6' fence in a front side yard. Any
consideration given this request will be appreciated.

The owner Janet Appel was present to represent this request.
A motion was made by Karl Stairs to deny the request and restrict the homeowner to the
allowed 4' fence height. No second was made, discussion ensued.

Andrew Valente made a motion to allow the 6" fence to project 7' out into the side front
yard.
Motion was seconded by Karl Stairs.
Discussion ensued. Mr. Valente that since other residences were allowed a 6' fence in the
side yard, this applicant should be given the same consideration and allow the fence 7'
from the house which is a typical inside side yard in this subdivision.
Vote was Aye for Andrew Valente and Larry Blair.
Karl Stairs voted Nay.
Motion carried.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 11:57
